Founders, Ron and Sherry Torbert, bring over 30 years of experience to this ministry of helping individuals and couples find healing through Biblical principles. Their counseling is unique and brings freedom in ways traditional therapy cannot. * Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and through prayers of repentance and forgiveness, they see miraculous changes in the hearts of God’s people.
Ron and Sherry both take great joy in being available for the Holy Spirit to use them. They have a team of over 40 Ambassadors who joyfully are spreading the word about this ministry to the heart. These volunteers are people whose lives have been deeply impacted by this type of personal ministry.
In 1992, Ron and Sherry were both trained by the staff of Elijah House Ministries (founder John Sandford). This impacted them so much that Sherry began sharing the principles they learned with others right away while Ron continued his full-time job as an engineer. Ron retired several years ago and has been working full-time with Sherry. Over the years they have trained hundreds of individuals through the Elijah House School of Prayer Ministry. They have pastored a local church, as well as founded Refreshing Spring Ministries in Houston, TX. They both love to travel and speak on topics related to inner healing, the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts or reaching your destiny.
As an author, Sherry’s latest work is an inner-healing study entitled “Passion for Purpose” which is available for purchase through Torbertministry.com website. When you purchase this course, you will be given access to online teaching for each lesson by Ron and Sherry. You will have access for six months so that you can review and work at your own pace. Occasionally Ron and Sherry will offer this as a Facebook live class. Ron’s new book, “Who Told You That” should be available soon. It is about spiritual warfare.
Ron and Sherry see clients in their home in NW Houston and they also have an affiliate pastoral counselor, Emily Bullion, who will begin seeing clients in the Woodlands area in the fall.
